Hackathon

ESOT is delighted to invite industry partners to be part of its prestigious hackathon initiative, a competitive event
where participants collaborate to build proofs of concept and minimum viable products. The process of the hackathon is to identify tools for patients, specifically to promote self-management, telemedicine, data transmission to carers and, in general, to improve the well-being and quality of life of transplant patients.

We recognise that industry partners often have a thriving innovation department and promote internal innovation as a priority. As an active partner, you will not only be supporting the initiative but also play a fundamental role in providing strategic input throughout the hackathon process.

Benefits for industry partners include:

  • Association with a unique event in the world of transplantation
  • Long term exposure and interaction with applicants, jury member and experts in the various fields
  • Contributing to open innovation (IP experts, venture capitalists, patient pioneers, tech companies)
  • Opportunity for early identification of promising initiatives for transplant patients
  • Branding according to level of support

Registries

Registries have become increasingly critical as a mechanism to understand better treatment outcomes and the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of innovative drugs and devices in actual practice settings.

Based on the developments and needs of the Solid Organ Transplantation community, ESOT has been identified as the organisation to take over the full management of the European project “EDITH” (https://edith-project.eu/) and to expand the registry to a multi-organ and pan-European registry.

By supporting the registry programme, sponsors multiply their possibilities of research, to improve healthcare worldwide. Depending upon the level of sponsorship, sponsors can gain a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Propose specific data to be collected (a limited amount)
  • Early access to the Protocol before finalisation, for comments.
  • Access to the full registry status page on the EDITH website, with real-time status per country and various analyses and benchmarks.
  • The possibility of requesting ancillary analyses and specific statistics for status reviews of the relevant registries.
  • Participation in the yearly sponsor meeting(s) with diverse committees.
  • Acknowledgement of their contribution in the relevant section of all publications and related communications
